Completed April 18th, 2011
After one of my coworkers saw the mechanical hummingbird I painted a month or so ago, she asked if she could commission me for her own little clockwork menagerie.
This clockwork dragonfly is the first, and my goodness, was it great working on on this.
I'm considering this commission "done" pending approval. I could tinker away at it for ages more and never be satisfied, but I'm already way beyond the amount of time I meant to spend on it, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
(If you compare this one to the hummingbird you will see how much more fine detail this one has)
