Description
I don't post many photos to deviantART, but someone suggested I should upload a few photos of the monarch butterflies I raise. I released a few recently recently, and oddly enough, one decided to stick around for a bit rather than fly off. After a few minutes of watching him, I grabbed my iPhone and started taking photos. A few minutes more and I attached my 10x macro lens. He was perfectly content to let me get INCREDIBLY close for some once-in-a-lifetime shots!
I'm hoping to work on a blog soon to share more photos of these truly incredible (and fluffy!) creatures, but if you're curious, you can check out a few other shots in this journal entry, "Soaring on Feathered Wings and Wings Aflutter."

Holy hnngffft! I used to care for my flock of Monarch babies while I was in Saudi Arabia. I was absolutely fascinated to see them grow and make one of the most beautiful colored pupae that turns in to rainbow glinting chrysalis right before they come out!!..
And now I see who was the one that came up with the New Brightwing Skin...
I should've known when I saw that magnificent figure x3!!
