"Winter Wolf" -
This is probably my favorite 3-feather fan to date, and was made for a '04 convention Art Show, where it sold.
It features a white wolf with striking blue eyes (with some beautiful shades of blue, grey, creme, and even purple that didn't show up in the scan). Around him/her are some Kymba-style celtic-knotwork adorned with various feathers which were painted onto a handcrafted, varnished Oak handle made by my Fiance. The handle was wrapped in white deerhide and trimmed with Hemitite, glass, frosted glass, silver, antiqued real bone beads, and tin cones. There are also various strands of dark brown sinew and hybrid Palm Turkey feathers to go along with the image as well as the three hybrid speckled Palm Turkey feathers that make up the "mass" of the fan. The fur trimming is immitation wolf fur from a unique, double-layer-fur select rabbit.
As I don't posses the fan anymore, I don't recall the dimensions, but I would guess something around 20 inches from handle to feather-tip, and another 12 inches or so of tassels (6 of them, plus two mini-tassels on the handle). I'm very pleased with how this turned out.
The painting itself is only about 3 inches wide by 3 inches high. Whew!
